Case Study #2: Walt Disney Concert Hall
Following the success of the Barcelona Fish, Frank Gehry contracted Rick Smith and his company,
C-cubed Virtual Architecture to perform the architectural design work on a recently commissioned Walt Disney Concert Hall (WDCH). This project was the laboratory for developing the techniques and process of using CATIA and Master Modeling. A strong earthquake in Northridge near Los Angeles area put the project on hold for the next three years. Work was completed on the Hall in October, 2003.
